Garcia: 29th Durian Tee at Apo Golf here

Imee Garcia

HAPPY Kadayawan!!! Last day of 29th Durian Tee of Apo Golf & Country Club tomorrow. I hope the members and their invited guests remain friends after the tournament. It’s all about camaraderie and fun. Winning is second. Right guys? But top of the priority list--make a hole-in-one. (wink!)

This much-awaited golfing event is participated by players coming from all over. They are expecting a big turnout this year. I will post the winners next week. I am hoping that someone will win a hole in one prize. A brand new Subaru XV 2.01, and a brand new Kia Picanto are up for grabs. Good luck participants!

Golfers, a reminder, 13th PAL Ladies Interclub at Rancho Palos Verdes Golf in Davao, September 19 to 22. If you wish to play golf during this time, you may want to consider playing elsewhere. Apo Golf Club? South Pacific? Or you can cheer for our ladies at Rancho Palos Verdes. Go Team Rancho Palos Verdes! Go Team Apo Golf Club.

Four divisions in the team event—Championship Division, Founders Division, Sportwriters Division, and Friendship Division. In the individual competition, four divisions as well—Flight A, B, C, and D.

Take note that if you plan to bring your own caddy and/or umbrella girl, they must be accredited by the host club.

Local players, if you have your own golf cart or if you are borrowing from someone else, make sure that you discuss it during the team captain’s meeting. The payment is what gets confusing sometimes.

More updates to come in the future.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
