Magdale, Palacio clinch Datba titles

VIRGILIO “Billy” Magdale and Benz Palacio shared top honors as the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba) Weekly Tournament resumed Saturday, January 11, 2020 at the SM Lanang Premier Bowling Center.

Magdale, an optometrist by profession, hit a total of 611 pinfalls in the three-game competition. He had a handicap of 24.

Arthur John Galendez and Joshua Disuacido grabbed the second and third spots, respectively. Galendez, whose handicap is 13, toppled 595 pins while Disuacido, with a handicap of 15, made 576 pinfalls.

Magdale received P1,000 while Galendez and Disuacido went home with P500 and P300, respectively.

In the youth division, Palacio struck for 572 pinfalls after three games to outshine Shane Libres who rolled 502 pins enroute to capturing the crown.

The twin tournament was organized by Datba.
