RMC DPBL 3 opens Saturday

THE RMC Davao’s Pride Basketball League (DPBL) 3 will kick off at 1 p.m. on Saturday, September 21, at Rizal Memorial Colleges Petro Gazz Arena.

League chairperson Aldin Celi, in a statement furnished to SunStar Davao, said Vice Mayor Sebastian Duterte was invited to grace the opening program that will be ushered in by a parade of participating teams.

RMC vice president for administration lawyer Ernesto Raphael Robillo will deliver his welcome message.

Five games to be sanctioned by the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) 11, according to him, will be on hand after the opening ceremony.

The curtain raiser will pit host RMC against Davao Jones Academy while Davao Christian High School (DCHS) will collide with San Pedro College (SPC) in the rising division and Philippine Academy of Sakya will clash against Tagum City National High School (TCNHS) in the competitiors category.

A total of 66 teams are entered in the five-division meet organized by Basketball Avenue and supported by the Department of Education and Philippine Sports Commission.
