Rovers FC bags 2 titles

THE Rovers Football Club (FC) of Davao City bagged two titles at the close of the 6th Ceres Cup 2019 Football Tournament held recently in Bacolod City.

Rovers FC blanked Giuseppe of Cebu City, 7-0, in the 11-under championship match behind the heroics of most valuable player (MVP) Rafael Rabelo, who knocked in five goals. His teammates Nicholas Hao and Fritz Nevaeh Gerong added one goal each.

The team was also composed of Liam Marcus Te, Ralf Niklas Andersson, Ethan Jhaeby Olmilla, Marcuzz Ethan Labio, Fritz Nevaeh Gerong, Jamez Lee Sequina, Gianne Carlo Abara and Austin Louis Dilodilo.

A total of 50 teams competed in the tournament.

Meanwhile, Rovers FC Davao crushed Talisay FC, 5-0, in the 12-under titular clash with Kian Terrence B. Niu scoring on a hattrick while Joerby Anito chipped in two goals. Niu was also named MVP of his category.

Liam Gregory Martin, Ervin Clyve Tajon, Isaiah Leigh Milloren, Neil Imperial, Hao, Rabelo, Andersson, Abara, Olmilla, Dilodilo, Labio and Gerong also composed the under-12 squad.
