Unbeaten teams clash

THE Davao Jones Academy (DJA) will try to grab its third straight win when it clashes against Ford Academy of the Arts (FAA) in the resumption of the Davao Youth Basketball League (DYBL) 2019 at Margarita Village basketball court in Davao City.

Game time is at 11:45 a.m.

DJA, which holds a two-win, one-loss card to lead cadet bracket A, thrashed Philippine Women's College (PWC) Davao, 70-21, last weekend after routing Assumption College of Davao (ACD), 57-33, in the opener last June 30. FAA (1-0), for its part, will try to score another win to snatch the lead from DJA.

Other games pit 0-1 ACD against PWC at 8 a.m., 0-1 Jesus Soriano National High School (JSNHS) against 1-0 St. Patrick Math Science School (SPMSS) at 9:15 a.m., 1-0 Davao City National High School (DCNHS) against 1-0 Philippine Academy of Sakya at 10:30 a.m., 0-1 Bagong Silang High School (BSHS) against 1-0 Crossing Bayabas National High School (CBNHS) at 1 p.m., 0-1 Holy Cross of Davao College (HCDC) against 0-1 Rizal Memorial Colleges (RMC) at 2:15 p.m. and 0-1 Immanuel School of Davao against 1-0 Philippine Nikkei Jin Kai International School (PNJKIS) at 3:30 p.m.

In junior division, DJA paced bracket D with two victories over JSNHS, 81-36, San Pedro College (SPC) Ulas, 89-22, while PNJKIS and SPMSS also entered the winning column. PNJKIS defeated ACD, 56-52, while SPMSS survived past ISD, 55-53.

Meanwhile, Daniel R. Aguinaldo National High School (Dranhs), Ateneo de Davao University (Addu) and PWC eked out wins in Liga Pinay for high school girls teams.

Dranhs overcame ACD-A, 47-42, while Addu beat ACD-B, 47-37, and PWC crushed Calinan National High School, 36-22.
