YOUTH bowler Gab Velasco earned a slot to the monthly finals after topping the Datba weekly qualifying bowling tournament held at SM Lanang Premier Bowling Center Tuesday evening.

Velasco struck for a total of 581 pinfalls after three games in the event organized by the Davao Tenpin Bowlers Association (Datba).

He bested Jess Rule and Dario Beloy who placed second and third, respectively. Rule rolled 573 pins while Beloy scored 564.

Velasco, however, received P600 while Rule and Beloy took home P300 and P200.

The weekly qualifying will resume on Saturday at the same venue. (ABM)
