Five minutes with a Dumaguete architect

Sunnexdesk

ARCHITECT Ned Carlos’ architectural debut was the completion of Hotel de Tanjay, the foremost hotel in Tanjay, Negros Oriental, in which he designed a 12-room hotel fit for a haciendero’s guest. Now, with an important list of landmark projects in Dumaguete City and across Negros Oriental including St. Paul University, Don Bosco school, and DCCCO buildings, it may seem that the Dumaguete-City-based architect has done it all.

“Not all,” says the architect, “but the pandemic has taught me a very important lesson and that is to live in the present. As for me, traveling is the best way to cherish the present moment. When traveling, I forget the past and never think of the future.”

This summer, the architect is thinking of bringing his family to London but it is still doubtful that they will be able to travel as a family due to stringent restrictions. Instead, he shares his favorite travel accessories and destinations.
