2 drug personalities nabbed in Dumaguete City

ANTI-ILLEGAL drug operatives in Dumaguete City arrested two suspected drug personalities through a drug bust in Purok Dapdap, Barangay Bagacay on Tuesday morning, May 21.

The suspects were identified as Rodulfo Ferraren Aquino, 53, and his alleged live-in partner, Rodeta Bacaltos Villarora, 41, both of Purok Dapdap, a police report said.

Both suspects were apprehended by operatives of the Dumaguete Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) - Negros Oriental during a drug bust around 11:30 a.m. after selling suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) to an undercover agent.

Recovered from the suspects were a piece of elongated transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu reportedly sold during the drug bust and two P500 marked bills, 11 plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, one medium heat-sealed plastic sachet also with suspected drug, an improvised tooter, and cash amounting to P3,435.

The suspects are currently detained while proper charges are being readied against them. (PNA)
