Over P23-M drugs seized in Dumaguete City

AUTHORITIES seized on Thursday morning, August 16, over P23 million worth of illegal drugs from a resident in Dumaguete City.

The Negros Oriental Police Office said that joint elements of the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Dumaguete police station, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Negros Oriental, and maritime police served the search warrant against Janmark Abadilla in Barangay Bajumpandan.

The authorities received information that there are illegal drugs in Abadilla's residence.

Confiscated were at least two kilos of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) with an estimated value of P23.6 million, drug paraphernalia, and a caliber .38 revolver with 11 live ammunition.

Abadilla was arrested during the operation. He was brought to the police station for proper disposition. (SunStar Philippines)
