THIRTY-THREE lucky applicants out of 300 were hired on the spot during the Iloilo City's 82nd Charter Day Job Fair at SM City Northwing in Mandurriao district last August 21.

The Public Employment Service Office (Peso) partnered with 24 local companies and nine international placement agencies for available domestic and overseas vacancies.

Mayor Jerry Treñas wanted the celebration to be inclusive, benefitting jobseekers by bringing employment opportunities closer to them.

This year's Charter Day theme "Responsible and Responsive Governance" highlights the efficient and effective delivery of public service to address the needs of the people.

"I ask everyone's help for the city to level up. Let us make it easier for the people to avail themselves of the city government's services," said Treñas. (PR)
