AFTER pointing out several suspects in the raping and killing of a 19-year-old girl in Barangay Abangay, Janiuay, Iloilo, a 15-year-old boy admitted that he and his father committed the crime.

According to the minor suspect, identified as "Nonoy," it was his father who raped Ronalyn Bravio, a BS Administration student at Central Philippine University.

Bravio's naked body was found in Barangay Abangay around 6 p.m. last October 26. She was reportedly going to a nearby store but did not return.

Bravio's relatives went out looking for her and found the victim in a field lifeless and naked with her hands tied at the back using her bra.

Janiuay Police Station Chief Dadjie Delima said the victim sustained several stab wounds.

Nonoy told the police that his father planned to rape the victim, adding that his father raped the victim first and he was told to do it next.

The suspect asked for forgiveness to the family of Bravio and promised not do it again.

The father, who is now in police custody, denied the allegations and said he is willing to be investigated.

Nonoy also divulged the identities of those who allegedly killed the victim, but the police did not believe him due to the inconsistencies in his story. (SunStar Philippines)
