THE Iloilo City Government is planning to establish four new police stations particularly in big areas with increasing population.

Mayor Jerry Treñas said the plan will bring services closer to the constituents.

"We have four major targeted areas like the ones in Bo. Obrero, Lapuz; Calumpang, Molo; and Sambag and Bito-on, Jaro. Hopefully, we will have additional police stations for the convenience of the public," he said.

There are six district police stations strategically located in centers of convergence and near the plazas of Arevalo, City Proper, Jaro, La Paz, Mandurriao and Molo. (PR)
