THE Iloilo City Government has set up additional bike racks to secure bicycles of those biking to work and back home.

The City Engineer’s Office already installed 27 bike racks out of the total of 50 earlier fabricated and painted with colorful designs by Ilonggo artists.

These are the bike racks at the following places for bikers’ convenience: eight at Esplanade 8; five at Esplanade 4; three each at Esplanade Extension and Esplanade 6; two each at City Hall, Carpenters Bridge and Museo Iloilo; and one each at Skating Rink, Capitol and Casa Real.

“These are for Ilonggos who love biking. This initiative aims to secure bikes. This project also promotes biking in relation to the national directive we are complying with the help and guidance of Mayor Jerry Treñas,” said Acting City Engineer Salvador Pedregosa. (PR)
