Sunnexdesk

THE Iloilo City Government got the nod of Globe Telecom in establishing fast and reliable internet connection to 65 public elementary and schools to benefit the children.

"We want to start them young, so that they can adapt easily. I am now in the process of finding out how many have internet connections and how many do not, because we will be providing all the public schools in the city," Mayor Jerry Treñas said.

Globe Telecom Chief Executive Officer Ernest Cu said communication and connectivity are basic forms of infrastructure that are essential to the progress of the city.

Cu said he sees Iloilo as a high potential growth city in the Visayas. (PR)
