ILOILO City Action and Response (ICare) Command Center satellites will be established in different districts in the metropolis to respond immediately to emergencies.

Mayor Jerry Treñas said the P10-million ICare satellite will first rise in Juntado Subdivision in Barangay Calumpang, Molo.

Another one is set in the identified site in Barangay Sambag, Jaro in front of the old police substation.

“We are now in the process of constructing ICare satellites. Every facility will have an ambulance, police patrol and fire truck. We should be prepared,” Treñas said.

The P38-million state-of-the-art five-story ICare set to start construction this year will rise at 375-square-meter site of Gaisano's Iloilo City Center along Diversion Road, Mandurriao, through a usufruct agreement.

It will house the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Public Safety and Transportation Management Office, and Police, and Fire stations. (PR)
