PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte attended the graduation of his granddaughter, Isabelle Duterte, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) in Pasay City on Thursday, May 17.

Isabelle is part of the first batch of senior high school graduates of San Beda College Alabang.

Malacañang, in a press statement, said the President, accompanied by Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go, arrived at the PICC Plenary at around 9:50 a.m., Thursday.

Isabelle's parents, former Davao City vice mayor Paolo Duterte and Lovelie Sangkola-Sumera, also attended her graduation, the Palace added.

To recall, Paolo and Isabelle had a word war on social media in December last year.

The President, who obtained his law degree from San Beda College, also took some time to have photo opportunities with other students, according to Malacañang's statement.

The President also reportedly went up the stage and greeted the officers and staff of San Beda College before the commencement exercises concluded. (SunStar Philippines)
