16-year-old boy killed in anti-drugs operation

A WANTED person and a 16-year-old boy were killed after allegedly drawing their guns during an anti-illegal drugs operation in Biñan, Laguna on June 16, 2021.

The Calabarzon Regional Police Office reported that anti-drug operatives were trying to serve an arrest warrant against Antonio Dalit in Sitio Camcam, Barangay Canlalay for illegal drug charges when Dalit and his companion, 16-year-old Jhondie Helis, allegedly drew their firearms.

Dalit and the boy died on the spot. Dalit was on the list of top 10 most wanted persons in Laguna province.

Two caliber 38 revolvers and 13 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) were recovered from the scene, police said.

The illegal substance weighed around 50 grams and was valued at P340,000.
