2 killed in Batangas explosion

TWO persons were confirmed killed in an explosion in a residential area in Barangay San Roque, Sto. Tomas, Batangas.

Batangas Provincial Police Office Director Edwin Quilates said the victims, believed to be a couple, are yet to be identified.

He said the explosion happened Monday morning, March 18, in a residential area being used as an illegal factory for improvised blasting caps.

San Roque Police Chief Superintendent Harold Depositar said a child was also rushed to a hospital due to injuries he obtained from the explosion.
