3 Koreans arrested for fraud

AUTHORITIES arrested on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, three Korean nationals covered by an Interpol red notice for charges of fraud.

Kwon Hyeok-soo, 39, Sim Dong-woo, 36, and Lim Yeon-jun, 36, are allegedly members of the Korean voice phishing criminal group, according to National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Director Debold Sinas.

Sinas said the three were arrested at Southern MMDFU Office, Southern Police District Compound, Lawton Avenue, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

It was a joint operation of the NCRPO Regional Intelligence Division, Regional Field Unit-NCR and the Fugitive Search Unit of the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation.

Kwon and Sim both have a standing arrest warrant issued by the Seoul Central District Court for fraud while Lim was wanted for organization of criminal groups.
