4 wanted persons arrested

FOUR wanted persons were arrested in the provinces of Quezon, Batangas, Cebu and Isabela as the Philippine National Police (PNP) intensified operations against wanted criminals, Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Debold Sinas said Wednesday, February 17, 2021.

Those arrested are: Danilo Dioquino, who was listed as the number 10 most wanted person in the National Capital Region; Rhenie Buduan, a rape suspect and the number 2 most wanted person of Isabela; Reynante Silgas, wanted for homicide and is listed as number 8 provincial most wanted person in Cebu; and a 17-year old male accused of carnapping and is Batangas’ number 7 most wanted person.

Dioquino was arrested in Barangay Lumutan, General Nakar, Quezon province by the local police, Regional Intelligence Unit-NCR together with Regional Special Operations Group (RSOG), NCRPO.

He was the prime suspect in the killing of Jhon Rick Caballero in Las Piñas City on March 8, 2019.

Buduan was arrested by joint elements of Provincial Intelligence Team Isabela of Regional Intelligence Unit 2, in Barangay Cariogan, San Manuel, Isabela.

Silgas was arrested by joint elements of Regional Intelligence Unit 7, Police Intelligence Unit Cebu, Police Provincial Office (PPO), Regional Highway Patrol Unit 7 and Minglanilla Police Station in Toledo City.

Silgas was identified as a member of the Felix Abacajan gun-for-hire group operating in the southern part of Cebu Province.

The minor was turned over to City Social Welfare and Development of Lipa City while the rest are under the custody of operating police units for documentation and proper disposition. (Third Anne Peralta-Malonzo / SunStar Philippines)
