Blast rocks Korean restaurant in Quezon City

POLICE said an explosive went off in front of a Korean restaurant in Quezon City before dawn Thursday, July 11.

No one was hurt, but two vehicles parked nearby were damaged.

The Quezon City Police District immediately ruled out terrorism, although investigation is still ongoing.

A police report cited witnesses who said a man wearing a black shirt, maong pants and a cap placed a paper bag in front of the Chung Mi Rae Korean Restaurant at Scout Tuazon Street corner Timog Avenue in Barangay South Triangle.

An explosion rocked the area at 12:40 a.m. Thursday.
