A SCULPTURE with the image of Josephine Bracken to represent victims of alleged extrajudicial killings will be paraded through the streets of Quezon City during the third State of the Nation Address (Sona) of President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday, July 23.

Bracken was the common-law wife of national hero Dr. Jose Rizal during his exile in Dapitan.

The sculpture, created by Juey Luch Velena in collaboration with several other artists, holds a list of around 4,000 alleged EJK victims.

"The victims of EJK should have been given due process," said artist Jason Moss. He added that it was wrong to just take out people from the streets without having their rights read to them, or giving them a fighting chance. (Juan Miguel Bonjoc, UST Intern)
