Duterte re-appoints 3 envoys

PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte has re-appointed his special emissaries assigned to China, Australia and Gulf Cooperation Council.

Duterte on May 23 tapped Cheng Yong as special envoy to China for another period of six months.

Yong's appointment paper, however, does not indicate his term of service.

The President also picked Miguel Ayala as special envoy to Australia from July 1 until December 31 this year.

Duterte also re-appointed Amable Aguiluz V as special envoy to the Gulf Cooperation Council, an aggrupation of the six Arab gulf states, namely Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Oman, Kuwait, and Qatar.

Aguiluz will serve from July 1 to June 30, 2019.
