DEPARTMENT of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Eduardo Año said illegal drugs worth P487 million were seized in separate operations in less than a month.

He said various law enforcement units conducted 2,359 operations from April 9 to 26, 2021.

They seized shabu and marijuana, and arrested 3,220 individuals. Authorities killed 34 during operations while 53 surrendered.

Año said 59.6 kilos of shabu, or methamphetamine hydrochloride, and 687.3 kilos of marijuana were confiscated.
