Israeli team to help implement vaccination drive

AN ISRAELI team arrived in Manila Sunday evening, June 20, 2021, to share their best practices in the implementation of a vaccination program against coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

The team is composed of Avi Ben Zaken, deputy director general of Ichilov Medical Center in Isarel; Dafna Segol, consultant on healthcare policy and innovation; Adam Segal, logistics and operations manager of Salomon Levid and Elstein Limited; and Nir Balzam, Israeli Embassy deputy chief of mission.

They were welcomed by vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. and Department of Health Director Maria Soledad Antonio.Israel is among the leading countries with the highest vaccination rates against Covid-19.

It has lifted the requirement to wear face masks outdoors.Galvez earlier said he was hoping the Philippines could drop the face mask requirement by the end of the year, when herd immunity is achieved against Covid-19. (Third Anne Peralta-Malonzo / SunStar Philippines)
