LPA east of Northern Luzon now tropical depression

THE low pressure area spotted east of Northern Luzon has developed into Tropical Depression Domeng at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 30, 2022, based on the weather bulletin issued by Pagasa.

Pagasa said TD Domeng has maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts up to 55 km/h.

The weather disturbance is moving northwestward at 15 km/h.

"In the next 24 hours, the monsoon trough and the Southwest Monsoon enhanced by TD “Domeng” and Tropical Storm “Chaba” (formerly “Caloy”) will bring monsoon rains over the western sections of Central and Southern Luzon," the state weather bureau added.

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit.
