Marcos appoints Emmanuel Ledesma as Philhealth president, CEO

PRESIDENT Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has appointed Emmanuel Rufino Ledesma Jr. as the acting head of the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth).

Ledesma took his oath as the acting president and chief executive officer (CEO) before Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin in Malacañang on Thursday, November 24, 2022. He is also a member of the Philihealth’s expert panel and board of directors.

The newly appointed Philhealth official was the former CEO and president of the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corporation (Psalm), which is in charge of the orderly and transparent privatization of the government's power and other disposable assets. (SunStar Philippines)
