FUEL prices are set to increase again on Tuesday, April 26.

In an advisory, Shell Philippines, Clean Fuel and Seaoil said there would be P3 per liter hike on Gasoline, P4.10 on Diesel and P3.50 on Kerosene.

For Shell and Seaoil, the price adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m., and 8:01 a.m. for Cleanfuel.

Other companies have yet to make an announcement.

The looming oil price crisis in the country was driven by the conflict in Ukraine brought about by the Russian invasion, as well as the easing of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) restrictions in China that resulted in the increase in demand.

As of April 19, oil price adjustments stood at a net increase of P15.45 per liter for gasoline, P27.35 per liter for diesel, and P21.55 per liter for kerosene, according to the Department of Energy.

In Metro Manila, the average price of gasoline is at P64.20 per liter to P86.75 per liter and P65.25 per liter to P79.95 per liter for diesel. (SunStar Philippines)
