Most wanted in Cagayan de Oro arrested in Quezon City

AUTHORITIES arrested in Quezon City on Thursday morning, February 4, 2021, the most wanted person in Cagayan de Oro City.

Joel Manlangit was arrested in Barangay Talipapa in Novaliches at around 7:10 a.m. Thursday, according to Philippine National Police Chief Debold Sinas.

Manlangit has a standing arrest warrant for murder. He was accused of killing a certain Eddie Apuz in Cagayan de Oro in 2009.

He is now under the temporary custody of Station 3, Quezon City Police District for documentation and proper disposition.

Sinas said Maglangit is a member of the Flores robbery/hold-up group operating in Cagayan De Oro City.

“Our campaign against most wanted persons will continue to intensify to give justice to the victims,” he said.

The operation was conducted by the personnel of the Intelligence Special Operations Division Intelligence Group (ISOD IG), together with Regional Intelligence Unit in Northern Mindanao, Cagayan De Oro City Police Station, Talipapa Police Station 3 and Quezon City Police District.
