P102M shabu seized from 2 Chinese nationals

TWO Chinese nationals were arrested in a drug bust in Malate, Manila on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 which resulted in the recovery of P102-million worth of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu).

Police said Bin Ju, 42, and Jiankang Liang, 40, were arrested in a buy-bust at the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Bay Terminal parking lot.

The suspects yielded more or less 15 kilograms of shabu with an estimated street value of P102 million.

The operation was conducted by personnel from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-National Capital Region, Northern Police District Office and Manila Police District.

Charges for the violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the suspects. (SunStar Philippines)
