AUTHORITIES seized P13.6 million worth of substance believed to be methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) during an anti-illegal drugs operation in Sulu on September 21, 2021.

Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Guillermo Eleazar said Thursday, September 23, that Yahiya Kadjuri was arrested in Barangay Buanza, Indanan town during an operation conducted by joint operatives of PNN, military and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

Two alleged cohorts of Kadjuri identified as Nurdalyn Sang and Tua Putol were able to escape, Eleazar said.

“I tasked the local police to conduct manhunt operation to arrest Kadjuri’s accomplices. Kailangan ding maimbestigahang mabuti kung gaano kalawak ang operasyon ni Kadjuri at kung sino ang nagsusupply sa kanya ng ilegal na droga ((It is also important to investigate on the scope of Kadjuri’s operations and his suppliers),” Eleazar said.

“Umaapela rin ako sa publiko na kung may impormasyon kayo tungkol dito, ipagbigay-alam niyo lamang sa mga awtoridad upang mahuli agad natin ang mga nakatakas na suspek (I also appeal to the public to report to authorities information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect),” he added.
