Parcel yields P15.7M worth of ecstasy tablets

AGENTS of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested two persons and seized over P15 million worth of illegal ecstasy tablets found in a parcel at the Central Post Office in Quezon City on Tuesday, May 11, 2021.

Arrested during the operation were Rowena Evangelio and Michael De Guzman. They will be charged with violation of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Evangelio was the authorized representative of the consignee of the parcel, which was declared to contain baby clothes, handbag and shoes.

Inside the package instead were 9,243 ecstasy tablets valued at P15,713,100.
