PHILIPPINE National Police (PNP) Chief Guillermo Eleazar on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, ordered the conduct of a thorough investigation into the twin explosions inside the Bicol University in Legazpi City over the weekend.

Eleazar said he instructed Bicol Police Regional Office Director Jonnel Estomo to identify and charge the individuals behind the incident.

The university is situated across the police regional headquarters.

“I also directed the regional police leadership to coordinate with the university officials to discuss security measures in order to prevent the repeat of this incident,” said Eleazar.

“Wala mang masyadong aktibidad ng mga estudyante at mga guro sa loob ng campus dahil sa pandemya, kailangang alerto pa rin ang ating kapulisan laban sa mga ganitong uri ng pag-atake,” he added.

No one was reported hurt in the incident. (Third Anne Peralta-Malonzo / SunStar Philippines)

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
