THE whole province of Nueva Ecija and Aurora have no power supply following the onslaught of Super Typhoon Karding (Noru), Energy Secretary Raphael Lotilla said on Monday, September 26, 2022.

In his report during a situational briefing led by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., Lotilla said that as of 7 a.m., the main lines of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) showed that the entire province of Nueva Ecija and Aurora are without power as the main highways of power were down.

He said several areas in the provinces of Tarlac, Zambales, Pampanga and Quezon were also experiencing power interruption due to Karding.

Marcos said the government is already arranging the deployment of power generators in these areas.

“Sometimes we forget — we send generators but no fuel. Make sure the generators have fuel. Ganon lang naman kasimple 'yun,” he said.

But Lotilla said fuel supply in these affected areas were enough.

Meanwhile, Information and Communication Technology secretary Ivan Uy said telecommunication services in areas badly affected by the weather system, even in Quezon where it made landfall, remained intact. (SunStar Philippines)
