Quarantine classification for April 16 to 30

METRO Manila along with several provinces, highly urbanized cities (HUCs) and independent component cities and municipalities will remain under Alert Level 1 from April 16 to 30, 2022, Malacañang announced Wednesday, April 13, 2022.

Under Alert Level 1 are the following provinces and HUCs:

Luzon

* Cordillera Administrative Region: Abra, Apayao, Baguio City, Mountain Province, and Kalinga Region 1: Dagupan City, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan

* Region 2 (Cagayan Valley): Batanes, Cagayan, City of Santiago, Isabela, and Quirino

* Region 3 (Central Luzon): Angeles City, Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Olongapo City, Pampanga, Tarlac, and Zambales

* Region 4-A (Calabarzon): Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Lucena City, and Rizal

* Region 4-B (Mimaropa): Marinduque, Puerto Princesa City, Romblon, and Oriental Mindoro

* Region 5 (Bicol): Catanduanes, Naga City, and Albay

Visayas

* Region 6 (Western Visayas): Aklan, Bacolod City, Capiz, Guimaras, and Iloilo City

* Region 7 (Central Visayas): Cebu City, Lapu-Lapu City, Mandaue City, and Siquijor

* Region 8 (Eastern Visayas): Biliran, Eastern Samar, Ormoc City, Southern Leyte, and Tacloban City

Mindanao

* Region 9 (Zamboanga Peninsula): Zamboanga City

* Region 10 (Northern Mindanao): Cagayan de Oro City, Camiguin, Bukidnon, Misamis Oriental, and Iligan City Region 11: Davao City

* Caraga: Butuan City and Surigao del Sur

The component cities of Aritao, Nueva Vizcaya and Basud, Camarines Norte in Luzon; Anini-y, Antique; New Lucena, Iloilo; Tubungan, Iloilo; City of Victorias, Negros Occidental and Sevilla, Bohol in Visayas; as well as Sapang Dalaga, Misamis Occidental, and Tantangan, South Cotabato are also under Alert Level 1.

The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) placed the following areas under Alert Level 2:

Luzon

* Cordillera Administrative Region: Benguet and Ifugao

* Region 2: Nueva Vizcaya

* Region 4-A: Quezon Province

* Region 4-B: Occidental Mindoro and Palawan

* Region 5: Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Masbate, and Sorsogon

Visayas

* Region 6: Antique, Negros Occidental, and Iloilo Province

* Region 7: Bohol, Cebu, and Negros Oriental

* Region 8: Leyte, Northern Samar and Western Samar

Mindanao

* Region 9: City of Isabela, Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga del Norte, and Zamboanga Sibugay

* Region 10: Lanao del Norte and Misamis Occidental

* Region 11: Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Davao Occidental

* Region 12: General Santos City, North Cotabato, Sarangani, Sultan Kudarat, and South Cotabato

* Caraga: Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Dinagat Islands, and Surigao del Norte

* Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao: Basilan, Cotabato City, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi. (SunStar Philippines)

THREAT. According to a Capitol consultant, the Cebu City Government is threatening to shut down the Cebu North Bus Terminal at the back of SM City Cebu (left) and the Cebu South Bus Terminal along N. Bacalso Ave. for operating without a business permit. The Province, which runs both terminals, maintains that it operates the facilities as a public service for passengers going to the province and vice versa. /
