'Ursula' weakens, now outside PAR

Sunnexdesk

TROPICAL Storm Ursula slightly weakens and is now outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), said the state weather bureau.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the tropical storm exited PAR at 9:50 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2019.

Although Ursula is no longer directly affecting the country, scattered light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms brought by the tail-end of a cold front will be experienced over the Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley and Aurora, said Pagasa.

The weather bureau warned sea travel is risky, especially for small sea vessels, over the seaboards of Northern Luzon due to rough seas caused by the surge of the Northeast Monsoon. (EZN/SunStar Philippines)
