Robbery suspect shot dead in Sta. Ana town

SANTA ANA – A jeepney driver facing robbery charges was shot dead by still unidentified suspects in front of the parish church in this town on Friday.

The victim identified as Agustin Anicete, 32, was killed by suspects riding-in-tandem while buying buko juice in the poblacion area.

Police Chief Inspector Reynaldo Manganti, Jr. said that the victim sustained gunshots in different parts of the body which immediately killed him.

He disclosed the victim's involvement in a robbery case that transpired in nearby Arayat town can be a motive on the case.

He added that they are looking at the possible association of Anicete in drug cases which led to his death.

Recovered from the crime scene were seven empty bullets of calibre. 45 and three 9mm ammunitions.
