CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga -- A 10-day Tactical Motorcycle Riding Crash Course opened Thursday at Bale Katimawan, Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPPO) in Barangay Sto. Nino, City of San Fernando.

Senior Superintendent Marlon Madrid, officer-in-charge of the PPPO, said the opening of the 10-day course was successfully launched with Superintendent Noel Villanueva, chief of the Regional Highway Patrol Unit-3 as the guest of honor and speaker.

Villanueva formally started the opening of the said training course, Madrid said in a text message.

He explained that the training course is essential for the police officers in order to address the rising crime incidents involving motorcycle riding criminals.

After the said training course, the participants will be part of the Pampanga PPO’s Tactical Motorcycle Riding Team, which will serve as a unit that will address crimes perpetrated by motorcycle riding suspects.

By mobilizing this unit, mobile police visibility and presence will be enhanced through sustained motorcycle patrols in street crime prone areas.

In his short speech, Madrid said that conducting continuous tactical motorcycle training is a vital step to counter and thwart the rising crimes committed by lawless elements and denying them the opportunity of pulling out their criminal activities in the province of Pampanga.

“Pampanga Police shall conduct aggressive and sustained anti-criminality patrols and operations against motorcycle riding criminals through the mobilization of the tactical motorcycle riders,” he said. (Ric Sapnu)
