12-hour blackout to hit Oro’s 2nd district Sunday

SEVERAL villages in the city's second district including a portion of a town in Misamis Oriental will have no electricity for 12 hours on Sunday, March 4.

The Cagayan Electric Power and Light Company Inc. (Cepalco) announced on its website that it will facilitate request of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) for relocation of 34.5KV poles affected by Rotunda project at Casinglot, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental and road widening project in barangay Tablon, this city.

Cepalco said it will also conduct line maintenance works in the affected areas.

The power interruption will start from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. affecting Tagoloan feeder areas.

No electricity in a portion of Natumulan old road from El Mundo down to Casinglot, Tagoloan including towards NGCP-Tagoloan substation.

On the other hand, affected areas in the city include all the barangays of Bugo, Puerto, Upper Puerto to Alae area, Agusan and Balubal, Tablon up to Nestle including Sapong and Palalan; Firstgen HEP, Global Agro and Menzi-Agri.

The power distribution utility said power will be restored immediately without any further notice when line works are completed even earlier than scheduled.
