TWO men were found dead in separate incidents in Bacolod City and Negros Oriental in the past two days.

In Bacolod, a man’s body was discovered inside his residence at Barangay Villamonte on Friday.

Police identified the fatality as Joel Valencia, 47.

Initial investigation showed that Valencia suffered chest pain. He was found by security guard Romel Palma at around 7:25 a.m.

Senior Inspector John Ganzon, head of Police Station 4, said there was no injury found on Valencia’s body.

Ganzon said Valencia’s family believed that the victim suffered from illness due to smoking and drinking.

There was no foul play, he added.

In Negros Oriental, a decomposing body of a man was found in a farm at Sitio Cantulingi, Bais City on Thursday.

Epa Candido, 76, was found dead 100 meters away from his nipa hut.

Police records showed that Candido’s death was caused by cardiovascular disease.
