FOUR Cebuanos will be joining the Nus-Black Diamond Boulderactive 2014 on July 3-6 at the Funan Digital Life Mall Main Atrium in Singapore.

John Joseph “JJ” and Joshua Suson, John Mark Corpus and Yan Endico will be joining the novice category of the invitational bouldering competition participated by several foreign and local sports climbers.

Aside from the novice category, the event will also have the men’s and women’s under-17, intermediate, open and mixed team events.

According to JJ, this is his second international competition and he hopes he will pull off a decent finish.

“We are expecting a lot of seasoned sports climbers in this competition and we are hoping for the best, “said Suson.

Suson, 16, had won several competitions in the country such as the ROX Zero Gravity: National Bouldering Competition last year in Cebu and a bouldering competition in Tacloban City.

Suson also topped the men’s division of a fund-raising event by the Cebu Rock Climbing Community dubbed as “Psyche Up 2 Speed Climbing and Bouldering Competition.”

Boulderactive is considered as the first climbing-related competition introduced in Singapore and has evolved into the largest and amost highly anticipated bouldering competition in the region.
