4 pastors, 5 others hurt in road mishap

NINE persons, including four pastors and a minor, were injured after their pick-up truck fell on a cliff at Barangay Pandanon, Salvador Benedicto in Negros Occidental on Tuesday, reports from Aksyon Radyo Bacolod said.

The victims were Severo Lucero, 19; Nathaniel Jarme, 43; Riza Casiano, 28; James Labandero, 53; a 16-year-old boy; and pastors Constantino Dueñas, 55; Oscar Malunes, 51; Dave Casiano, 33; and Teoderico Delicana, 60, who was driving the vehicle.

The victims were ministers and members of Oneness Apostolic Gospel Truth at Barangay Cabug, Bacolod City.

Erwin Rementas, one of the 10 passengers, said in a radio interview that they were on their way home to Bacolod City from a thanksgiving party when the driver lost control of the vehicle.

They were treated at Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.
