FORTY-TWO new Philippine National Police (PNP) patrol cars were given to the Police regional Stations in Western Visayas.

On Wednesday morning the new patrol cars were distributed to Cebu Provincial Police Office, in Negros province, Bohol, and other police stations in Western Visayas.

Police Regional Office-Western Visayas Director Lani-o Nerez said the budget that was allocated for the cars is just a part of the 2 billion that President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo allots for the capability enhancement program of the PNP.

Nerez said the car is for official use only not for personal matters.

He added that those who will be driving the car are only those in uniform with license.

Those who will violate the rules will be punished, he said (Sunnex)
