GERMAN-BORN Stephan Sieberg has an enviable 25 years-plus track record in the hospitality industry, managing international brands and luxury properties throughout Asia and Europe. And now, how lucky is Radisson Blu Cebu to acquire him as its new general manager?

A warm, people-oriented personality, we met him at dinner in the hotel’s Presidential Suite where he also introduced his charming wife, Stephanie, to us. Totally a global citizen, afire with passion for his performance, Sieberg will oversee the entire hotel operations (400 rooms!), and lead an enthusiastic and professional team to further reinforce the property’s position as the premier business hotel in Cebu City.

Welcome aboard, Stephan!

Kung Hei Fat Choi!

This was the joyful message on everyone’s lips during the colorful celebration of Chinese New Year by the Consulate of the People’s Republic of China (PROC). Very visible was the man of the moment, Consul Shi Yong, as he welcomed a ballroom-full of guests from our local government, consular offices as well as businessmen from Bacolod and Iloilo.

No stone was left unturned as the bash was the ultimate in cuisine, entertainment and prestigious visitors. Never to be missed were the Lion and Dragon dances as well as presentations from various Chinese schools. Consul Yong was also proudly showing off an exhibit of his country’s people and places of interest!
