BANGUED, Abra -- The Abra police shone in the regional awarding of the best Police Community Relations partners and best performing police officers last week in celebration of the 21st PCR Month.

Abra PPO was adjudged as the Best Police Provincial Office under the command of Police Senior Superintendent Antonio Bartolome.

The Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer is Police Superintendent Damian Olsim, while and the Best Municipal Police Station (MPS) is the Penarrubia MPS headed by PSI Noel Bagtuna.

Lawyer Marco Bautista, former mayor of the municipality of San Juan, was awarded as the Best Local Chief Executive.

Bautista made remarkable contribution to the smooth and effective operation of the local police in his municipality. His contributions came in the form of physical infrastructure and non-material support to all the programs of the MPS Station. His unconditional support in every way gave inspiration to the local police to perform their duties beyond expectations.

For three consecutive years now, the Abra-PPO had been accorded the Best PPO in the field of PCR.

Bartolome attributed the success of their performance in PCR to the concerted efforts of all the Abra PNP personnel and the enhanced collaboration with the community of which he is most thankful. (Maria Teresa Beñas/PIA-CAR)
