IN CELEBRATION of RW 95.1 FM’s 15 years of quality broadcasting in the region, the station has recently staged an on-air acoustic battle intended to showcase Kapampangan talents.

Dubbed as “RW Acoustic Idol,” the contest was aired live over RW 95.1 FM last August 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. where listeners were able to hear live performances from the finalists.

Eight equally-talented acoustic singers battled it off for the title. Each contestant had to sing two songs of their choice.

In the end, Toni and Ivan Reynes’ unique rendition of "Lucky" and "The man who can’t be moved" captured the award and named "RW’s Acoustic Idol." The acoustic duo took home the P15,000 cash prize.

Aries Tiqui, on the other hand, was named 1st runner-up with his version of “Hanggang” and “Just Once” while James Macatangay emerged as 2nd runner-up with chosen songs “Baby I Love Your Ways” and “Let me be the one.” Runners up took home cash prizes of P10,000 and P5,000, respectively.

On its 15th year, RW 95.1 FM reaches a milestone of providing unbiased and objective views on news and public affairs, music and entertainment in the region. The station was hailed as the country’s Best FM Station at the 16th KBP Golden Dove Awards for its responsible and balanced programming. Log on to www.rw951.fm (Press Release)
