Advanced Math study starts Saturday

PARENTS and students flocked to the City Central School on Saturday, the start of the special classes in advanced Mathematics.

Organized by the Mathematics Teachers Association of the Philippines (MTAP), around 1,400 pupils from both public and private schools were present during the opening of the six Saturday classes, which will end on July 14.

Obsioma said at least 10 classes of different levels from Bugo Elementary School joined the annual activity of the MTAP; 18 classes from Lapasan Elementary School; eight classes from Bulua Elementary School; and 24 classes are from City Central, including classes from Indahag Elementary School in Barangay Indahag.

He added Xavier University (XU), Corpus Christi grade schools students, and other private schools offering basic education also joined the study on advance Mathematics.

After the six Saturday classes, Obsioma said the achievers will advance to vie for an annual schools division, regional and national Mathematics contest. (LSM)
