MANILA -- Philippine Coast Guard recovered Tuesday another body of a passenger of SF Freighter 498, a domestic cargo ship that went missing off Marinduque last Saturday.

The dead victim was identified as Clinton Benigla, one of the missing crew of the sunken vessel.

A dzMM radio report said the victim was found floating in waters off Catanauan, Quezon province. Benigla was wearing a life jacket when found.

Benigla was the second fatality recovered after SF Freighter 498 disappeared off Marinduque province.

The first fatality was recovered Monday along with the captain of the ship, Jolito Cortejos, and another crew who were found alive.

The PCG is still conducting search and rescue operations for the other passengers who are still missing as of this posting Tuesday. (Sunnex)
