LIBERAL Party (LP) standard bearer Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III is slated to arrive and meet his local supporters in Bacolod City and Negros Occidental on February 11.

Aquino will be accompanied by lawyer Alex Lacson, a senatorial candidate from Kabankalan City.

Lacson told a press conference Sunday at the Business Inn that he will officially launch his campaign in his hometown, at the sixth district in the province on Feb. 9, which is the start of the national campaign for the May 10 elections.

On Feb. 10, Lacson will have his motorcade around the sixth district down to the neighboring districts and Bacolod.

He said he would want to start his campaign with his fellow Negrenses where he actually rooted his political career and most his life.

“I want my fellow Negrenses be involved in the true exercise of clean, honest, and genuine elections on May 10,” he said.

He added that he will accompany “Noynoy” for his sorties in northern Negros.

Local officials in Negros have signified support to Lacson along with other senatorial candidate Apolinario “Jun” Lozada, former congressman of the fifth district.
