THE race to the presidency is proving to be a neck-to-neck battle as the top two contenders from the Liberal Party (LP) and the Nacionalista Party (NP) are battling it out in the ratings game.

LP standard bearer Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III and NP presidential bet Manny Villar are currently at the first and second place, respectively, according to a latest survey.

However, in a recent visit to Baguio City by Aquino’s sister, Pinky Aquino Abelleda, she said his brother is again up 10 percent.

Aquino said according to sources, her brother is again edging away from Villar from the latest survey that has not been broadcasted.

“I think this is a wakeup call for us to work harder. I am very thankful to our supporters,” Aquino said.

Aquino said the LP will not match the machinery and the numerous advertisements of Villar.

She even quoted presidential bet Richard Gordon, “ang pulitikong gumagastos, binabawi.”

“We don’t have that much money plus the money for campaigning comes from the people,” Aquino said.
